First, the one thing that saves you money: scooters are metric
E-scooters are built almost entirely with metric hex-socket (Allen) bolts. Not SAE, not a drawer full of sockets — metric hex. That's why the giant 200-piece mechanic set is mostly wasted money here: you'd use six pieces of it. Buy the six pieces.

The tool rule that matters more than the tools
Snug is the goal — stripped is forever. Small scooter bolts don't want gorilla torque; they want firm, checked regularly. And two places your new hex keys should stay away from: anything inside the battery compartment, and the brake rotor/pad surfaces (adjust levers and calipers; never touch the friction surfaces with oily hands or sprays). When a bolt won't behave or a brake feels wrong after adjustment — that's a stop-and-ask moment, not a force-it moment.
