S60 error codes — what the display is telling you

Battery low
The pack has hit its low-voltage floor. Not a fault — the scooter protecting its battery.
- Stop and charge fully.
- Ride again as normal.
Battery reached its preset charge value
Not a fault — you (or the app) set a charging limit, and the battery reached it. Charging below 100% is actually good for battery life; the manufacturer's own app recommends staying under 90%.
- Nothing to fix. To charge to full for a long trip, raise the Charging Ratio in the app to 100%.
Over-current
The controller saw more current than it liked — usually a hard launch or a heavy load spike.
- Release the throttle fully.
- Power off, wait a few seconds, restart.
- Ease into acceleration rather than snapping the throttle.
Motor blocked / stalled
The wheel tried to turn and couldn't, or was forced while powered.
- Check the wheel for an obstruction (debris, a stick, a bag strap).
- Release the throttle, power off, restart.
Throttle fault
The throttle reported a reading it shouldn't — often from being pressed during power-on.
- Take your hand fully off the throttle.
- Power off, restart without touching the throttle.
Motor running hot
Long hills, hard riding, or heavy load heated the motor past its comfort zone.
- Stop and let it cool 15–30 minutes (shade helps in a Houston summer).
- Ride gently afterward — avoid steep climbs until it's fully cooled.
Controller running hot (stage 1 / stage 2)
The main board's power electronics are over temperature — H3 is the more serious stage.
- Stop and let the scooter cool completely.
- Avoid hills and hard acceleration on the ride home.
Voltage high (full battery)
Usually a full battery plus regenerative braking — braking downhill on 100% charge pushes energy into a pack with nowhere to put it.
- If riding: slow down, brake gently, let the battery burn off a few percent.
- Power off and restart.
- Avoid starting long descents on a 100% charge.
Display can't talk to the controller
A communication hiccup between the dashboard and the main board.
- Power off, wait ten seconds, restart.
Motor position sensor fault
The controller has lost clean signal from inside the motor — power can stutter or cut, including at speed.
- Restart once, from a standstill — that confirms whether it was a blip.
- If the code shows again, at any point: you're done riding for the day. Walk it.
- Even if it clears and stays clear — tell us it happened. One-off sensor codes are worth having on your scooter's record.
Brake sensor fault
The brake lever reported a reading it shouldn't. Brakes are not a "monitor it" system.
- Release the brake fully, power off, restart once.
- If the code returns — stop riding. Walk it.
Motor phase short circuit
The controller detected a short in the motor wiring or an output current far past safe limits.
- Power off. Don't keep restarting it.
Drive circuit fault
Part of the motor drive isn't functioning — often flagged when powering on while rolling.
- Restart once, from a standstill, on flat ground.
- If it returns — stop riding.
Battery management system warning / fault
The battery's own guardian (the BMS) is raising its hand — a warning, an alarm, or it's stopped reporting entirely.
- Stop riding. If it's charging, unplug the charger.
- Park it away from anything flammable, power off.
Voltage calibration fault
The controller's voltage reference isn't calibrated — a factory-level setting, not a rider fix.
- Power off.
Serial number error
The scooter's firmware and serial identity disagree — usually after a firmware problem.
- Don't update or flash anything.
Three things make the answer instant:
- The code, exactly as the display shows it (a photo works great).
- Your serial number — on the frame's rating plate, and on your order confirmation email.
- What was happening when it appeared — riding, charging, powering on.
