A parked scooter isn't paused — it's slowly spending its battery. Park it right and it wakes up months later like nothing happened. Park it wrong and it may not wake up at all. The difference is one charge level, one power button, and a two-minute check once a month.

The community's diagnosis: the battery had drained all the way down while it sat, and once it fell below its safety floor, the battery's own management system locked the pack — on purpose. What actually happens while it sits
Every lithium battery loses a little charge just sitting — and a scooter loses more than a bare battery would, because its electronics sip power even when it's "off but sleeping." That slow drain is harmless right up until the pack hits empty. Below a certain floor, the battery management system (the BMS — the pack's built-in bodyguard) shuts the door: deeply-drained lithium cells can be damaged, so it refuses to charge them without special handling. That's not a defect. It's the battery protecting you — but it means "I'll charge it when I need it again" is the one plan that can end a battery.
The 50–70% rule
Before a long park, charge (or ride) the battery to 50–70% — not full, not empty. Empty risks the lockout above. And full is quietly hard on the cells too: lithium chemistry ages fastest when it's held at the extremes, so a battery stored at 100% for months comes back a little older than it needed to be. The middle band is where a resting pack is most comfortable. Think of it as parking the battery, not just the scooter.

Don't buy a new battery yet, and don't open the pack — deeply-drained lithium needs careful handling, and that's support's job, not a kitchen-table job. Do this instead:
- Plug in the charger and watch its light. Note what it does — solid, blinking, or nothing. That one observation tells a support tech half the story.
- Leave it connected for an hour or two. Some packs sitting just below the floor will slowly creep back into range and start accepting charge on their own.
- Still nothing? Stop and contact support — tell them how long it sat, at what charge you parked it, and what the charger light did. A locked pack can often be safely recovered with the right equipment. The battery is not necessarily dead; let someone with the tools prove it either way.

Same rule, no translation needed: the display shows your percentage, and 50–70% is the parking band.
